Building/Construction Larry Scherer [Email]

This committee’s purpose is to coordinate Evergreen Habitat for Humanity’s construction of homes. The committee’s responsibilities include but are not limited to, house plans and specifications, procuring building materials, working with subcontractors, coordinating volunteer labor, and construction scheduling. This committee meets at the Habitat Office on the second Wednesday of every month at 5:30pm. Larry can be reached at (360) 573-5268.


 

Church Relations Susan Riley [Email]

The responsibilities of this committee are to identify local faith-based communities, to design partnership programs in order to build a faith-based coalition, and to support the initiative of eliminating sub-standard housing in our area.
 

Family Selection Melisa Murguia [Email]

This committee is responsible for choosing future Evergreen Habitat for Humanity homeowners from an ever-expanding pool of applicants. The committee plans and conducts a series of meetings that requires potential applicants to attend at least one to be able to move through the selection process. Family Selection Committee is an ad-hoc committee forming for the selection process and disbanding when the families are selected.  Often members of this committee become Family Partners.
 

Family Support Russ Chambers [Email]

The Family Partnership Committee is responsible for the education and support of future Evergreen Habitat for Humanity homeowners, working with issues such as budgeting, home repair and maintenance, community resources, and any of the other financial, legal, or personal responsibilities of becoming a homeowner.  Individuals with experience in social work, counseling, real estate, law, neighborhood/community development, and homeownership or living-skills training are especially needed for this committee.  Members organize special events for Habitat families and plan and run the Saturday classes Habitat families attend in order to fulfill their partnership requirement.  Family Partnership especially needs people from the local community who can help orient Habitat homeowners during their first year of homeownership.  
 

Finance Justin Myers [Email]

Works with Treasurer to review accounting proceedrues and produce annual budget to be submitted to the board of directors for approval.
 

Special Events Brenda Tiefenthaler [Email]

This committee is composed of volunteers with related experience in the area of fundraising and event coordinating. The committee supports the administration in developing fundraising plans and raising affiliate awareness. Members work to organize and support activities and special events. This committee meets on the second Monday of every month at 5:30pm in the Evergreen Habitat for Humanity office.
 

Office Support Melissa Edwards [Email]

This group staffs the office, which provides coordination and support for the organization.  Contact the Habitat office at 360-737-1759
 

Marketing Communications Tony Hodge [Email]

Mission: To continually improve the community's awareness of our work, recognize our participants, and encourage new donations of time and materials so more people have simple, affordable housing.  The Speaker's Bureau is a sub-committe of Public Relations.  If you would like to train to present Habitat in our community contact the office at 360-737-1759.
 

Site Selection Ryan Jeynes [Email]

This committee’s responsibilities include site selection, land acquisition, and community impact issues. The Site Selection Committee accomplishes these tasks by identifying potential sites, evaluate sites’ availability and appropriateness, and develop a site acquisitions criteria policy for board approval, implement the board – approved policy, and maintain acquired sites.
 

Volunteer Andrea Mayhew [Email]

Recruits, interviews, trains and coordinates volunteers to carry out Evergreen Habitat for Humanity's mission in Clark County.
 

Golf Committee Justin Myers [Email]

We need you help to plan and execute the annual golf tournament.
