Habitat for Humanity International’s Neighborhood Revitalization was designed to help U.S. affiliates as they work to transform neighborhoods using a holistic approach. Habitat affiliates are joining residents, nonprofits, businesses, local governments and communities of faith to create and implement a shared vision of revitalization.
NR represents an expansion of services for Habitat for Humanity. Instead of focusing solely on new construction, there is an added emphasis on home rehabilitation, external maintenance, and creating an improved quality of life for neighborhood residents. All projects are tailored to fit the needs of the partner community, and are carried out as part of a community coalition.
Projects will include:
- New Construction
- Home Rehabs
- Home Repairs
- Community Events and Engagement
Evergreen Habitat will be working with the Fruit Valley neighborhood in Clark County in a long term effort to improve the residents’ quality of life. More information about Fruit Valley can be found here.
