FAQ for New Construction and A Brush With Kindness

What do I need to bring?

We will provide the necessary tools but it never hurts to bring a hammer, tape measure, nail apron, chalk box, eye protection/sun glasses, earplugs, utility knife, rain gear and sun block.  Bring work gloves and other safety items you prefer.

What should I wear?

Wear sturdy shoes appropriate for a construction site and clothes you won’t mind tearing or staining.  Wear clothes in layers so that you can add or subtract, depending on the temperature.  We work in all kinds of weather, so come dressed appropriately.  This includes bringing approipriate rain gear for the winter weather.  We will be outside with no shelter available.

Do I need to bring food/water?

We are not able to provide lunch but we do try to have bottled water available on site.   Make sure you bring a lunch with you.

Where do we meet and at what time?

When you sign up on Volunteer Spot, it will let you know what time we are getting started.  For the location, use the maps posted above for your project.
