What is Women Build?
A program of Habitat for Humanity International, Women Build enables women to help eliminate poverty housing by building homes and communities. Through Women Build, women volunteers and homeowners gain the confidence and skills to lay bricks, pound nails, raise walls and create hope. Evergreen Habitat built its first Women Build home in 2012. We will be building our second Women Build home in 2017. Women Build is a great way for women to have fun, help a family, and make a difference in a hands-on way. You’ll get to meet the family you are helping, face-to-face. You can spend time with friends and colleagues, and make new friends while you work on the house. And you’ll learn construction skills that you can use in your own home.
Women Build Home
Thanks to the hard work of our Women Build Committee fundraising and a generous gift from Providence and PeaceHealth, we are ready to build our second Women Build home. Home construction began in January of 2017. For more information or to learn how to get involved, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Women Build Committee
Women Build is currently raising funds to build a home for a hard-working family in need. The Women Build Committee consists of community-minded women who want to make a difference here in Vancouver–construction skills are not necessary!
New members are always welcome. Committee meets monthly on every third Wednesday. Guests are welcome – contact Leanna Fabian at email@example.com for more information or to RSVP.
