So, what’s “Women Build”?
A program of Habitat for Humanity International, Women Build enables women to help eliminate poverty housing by building homes and communities. Evergreen Habitat for Humanity (EHFH) will have its first Women Build team beginning in June 2011!
If I sign up for Women Build, what should I expect?
If you decide to join Women Build, you’ll commit to help raise pledges and spend 16 hours on the construction site for a Habitat home. You don’t need any construction experience—we’ll train you.
Why should I sign up for Women Build?
Women Build is a great way for women to have fun, help a family, and make a difference in a hands-on way. You’ll get to meet the family you are helping, face-to-face. You can spend time with friends and colleagues, and make new friends while you work on the house. And you’ll learn construction skills that you can use in your own home.
