2nd Annual Women Build Tea!

Please join us for our second annual “Women Build Holiday Tea” on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 11am-1pm.  This year the festivities will be held in the beautifully restored Artillery Barracks in Historic Fort Vancouver at 600 East Hathaway, Vancouver, WA.

From the elegantly restored tin ceiling to the historically accurate white-oak hardwood floors, this unique historic venue is the perfect setting for the beginning of the holiday season and a fundraiser for Evergreen Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build.

This year our special guest speaker will be Lee Rafferty – Lee is currently the Executive Director of the Vancouver’s Downtown Association, and former owner of the very successful consignment store, Spanky’s.  Lee has lived in Vancouver since 1974 and has a wealth of experience working with new businesses and Women owned businesses.  She is very excited and passionate about being part of the community and the future possibilities. The event will also include a silent auction of wonderful gifts donated by supporters and craftsmen alike.

The mission of the Women Build program is to empower women to take action against poverty housing conditions by nurturing, recruitment and the training of women to build simple, decent, affordable homes. Women from all walks of life are brought together to address in a concrete way the housing crisis facing families in our community.  This is done by supporting the mission with our time, energy and financial support.

This special event has limited seating, so please RSVP by November 26th, to 360.737.1759.  Tickets are $30.00.
