Evergreen Habitat for Humanity

EHFH in actionEvergreen Habitat for Humanity works to break the cycle of generational poverty and to revitalize Clark County neighborhoods by providing stable, permanent housing to low-income families.

Creating an environment where poverty housing and homelessness become socially unacceptable is the ultimate purpose of Habitat’s work. The affiliate realizes its mission by building and refurbishing homes using volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of materials.

Though Habitat’s unique homeownership program, Evergreen Habitat is able to sell homes to partner families at zero- to one-percent interest after they complete their sweat-equity hours. The mortgage payments made by partner families are placed in a revolving fund used to build future Habitat homes.

A self-sustained affiliate of Habitat International, Evergreen Habitat has contributed 21 homes for 88 individuals to the over 350,000 homes Habitat has built worldwide.
