Taste of Home Spring 2024

Taste of Home Spring 2024

Bringing together our community to celebrate Johnson Village and our future projects in Washougal and Vancouver.

On the evening of Friday, June 7th, we were joined by guests and community members to tour the newly built homes at Johnson Village, participate in fun activities, hear Habitat stories and enjoy an intimate dinner together outside on our construction site.

The program included a lively live auction, where guests generously bid on various items and experiences. The funds raised will contribute directly to future Habitat projects, ensuring that more people in our community will have the opportunity to achieve strength and stability through affordable homeownership. A special highlight of the evening was the friendly showdown between Vancouver Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle and Washougal Mayor David Stuebe of who could hammer a nail faster. The event also featured Habitat stories that touched the hearts of everyone present. We were graced with the story of friendship between Habitat homeowners Ana and Karla, illustrating the importance of community.

The evening was more than an event, but a reminder of the shared vision we all have that everyone deserves a decent place to live. Evergreen Habitat for Humanity remains committed to its mission of building homes, communities, and hope—a mission made possible through the continued support and dedication of its volunteers, donors, and community partners.

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us in this beautiful event. With the support of our community, we were able to raise funds which will help us continue supporting the next 100 homeowners here in Clark County!
